Checking Viscosity of Medical Gel
Our Customer’s Needs
They are well-known for their hernia mesh, infection control products and wound management products. Currently, they are focusing on development and production of their wound-care gel. As such, they need a viscometer to measure for the viscosity of the gel.
Solution by Muser
Our Product Specialist, Ethan Wong, recommended to use Atago Visco: Digital Rotational Viscometer. In addition to Atago Viscometer being within their budget range, it also fulfils their requirement in checking the viscosity of their gel product.
Viscosity?
Liquids can be free-flowing like water or gooey like honey, and viscosity represents how “free-flowing” or how “gooey” a liquid is.
Rotational viscometers are commonly used. They are simply constructed and user-friendly, where they can measure a wide range of substances, and they can take highly accurate measurements.
Viscosity is determined by measuring the torque (shearing stress) used on the cylindrical surface of a cylindrical rotor inserted into the sample and rotating at a constant speed.
